Less sick care. More healthcare.

Immersioncy is immersion into life: being fully present in the moments medicine asks of us, including the hard ones.

Resus is what we do for patients when life is slipping. Here it means turning that same skill toward ourselves: resuscitating the health of the healthcare worker.

Why this exists

High-stakes care asks a lot of the people who give it. Over time, many of us learn to switch off just to get through: the guilt we carry home, the weight in the body, the quiet loss of why we chose this work. Patients can feel the difference between a professional who is present and one who is running on empty.

I believe resuscitating the caregiver spills onto patient care, into hospital systems, and out into the world. A healthier healer is not a luxury. It is part of care.

What we practise

  • Presence under pressure. Arriving fully, even in chaos.

  • Layered prescriptions. Care for the healer in layers: body, mind, relationships, meaning.

  • The temporary gift of life. Holding fragility and death without collapse or numbness.

  • Honest load. Naming psychosomatic load, shift-work realities, guilt and soul.

  • Protected meaning. Small rituals and reflections that keep the why of medicine alive.

What this is, and what it isn’t

Immersioncy is a practice, a journal, and a gathering place, for teaching and modelling how to stay human inside emergency and resuscitation work.

It is not a billing tool, a generic wellness app, or a clinical protocol. It does not replace medical care, therapy, or your physician health program.

Where it’s going

It starts with emergency medicine in Ontario and Canada and reaches toward every person who cares for others’ health. The goal is health with integrity that never comes at the expense of the caregiver or the patient.
